Today (Saturday 9/13/08) we drove up to Eagle River State Park. Roughly 30 minutes from downtown Anchorage. The kids needed a break from house hunting. To say this place is beautiful is the understatement of the year. Words can’t desribe how beautiful this place is. Unfortunately I haven’t quite figured out my camera and some of the photos just don’t look that great. We ran into a couple that was hiking the 27 miles in and 27 back out. Smart folks! They were using Llamas to carry some of the load. Here are some of the pictures. Enjoy…

Glad yall are there and hope the home hunt end soon. I suspect there are other types of hunting there which will be more fun, but maybe not as important. All of you are in my prayers. I know this adventure, like all adventures, will have some incredible highs, some depressing lows and many hours of questions with occasional burst of brilliance.
Speaking of hunting, don’t put off the hunt for an awesome church family. In fact, start today!! Let me know how it goes.

hey guys….it looks like you had some fun at the park….just from the pictures you can tell that it is beautiful. that’s what i used to think when i’d first go out on the water when i moved down here….it was just so different than what i was used to in illinois. i still do think that, when i take the time to look around at least. we miss you already….jackson and i went for a walk last night….and it was strange to know that your house was empty.
